Aviom AN-16/i v.2 16-channel input module. The Aviom AN-16/i v.2 is designed to work with other Aviom products to create a powerful digital audio network, capable of transferring high-quality 24-bit audio digitally over inexpensive, industry-standard Category 5 cables. Each module contains 16 balanced audio connectors (1/4" TRS jacks or Euroblocks). But, unlike traditional audio snakes, the Aviom AN-16 products allow you to expand the audio distribution network at both ends of the snake to suit a variety of audio distribution requirements. Powerful audio hub The Aviom AN-16/i v.2 input module is a single rackspace unit that serves as the A/D input for the digital snake. It converts 16 line level analog audio channels into uncompressed, full bandwidth digital data, transmitted via Aviom's proprietary A-Net protocol. All inputs are balanced 1/4" TRS jacks. There is a thru jack available for each input, which allows the Aviom AN-16/i v.2 input module to be inserted into an existing audio signal path.

Easy-to-use front panel The easy-to-understand front panel of the Aviom AN-16/i v.2 lets you set the gain for each pair of channels, ranging from +22db to -10dB. A stereo channel link switch combines channels into stereo or leaves them mono. Signal present and clip LEDs let you see what is going on with each channel.

All the connections you need to set up your monitor system The rear panel of the Aviom AN-16/i v.2 has two rows of 16 1/4" TRS jacks for analog audio input and thru. The simple layout is great for quickly setting up your Aviom modules. For system network connections, there is an A-Net out jack and an A-Net expansion jack. The A-Net expansion jack allows multiple Aviom AN-16 units to be combined. The modular system is easily reconfigured at a moment's notice.
